Very special biology lessons!
Dear Teachers,
Move your classroom to the Zoo for a change! In the midst of elephants, tigers, gorillas and hippos, biology lessons become adventures.
Our Zoo Scouts will take your pupils under their wing and initiate them into the mysteries of the animal world. We offer a range of thematic tours, or can devise a programme especially for your curriculum – see School Tours. We take 'grasping an idea' literally - anyone who's held a pelican's beak will never forget that its elastic pouch will hold 13 litres!
The Zoo School at Meyer's Farm is an old half-timbered house. Just outside the window there are sheep and geese in the home paddocks and storks by the pond. In the secret cubby-hole in the schoolhouse biology goes wild when snakes, giant grasshoppers and little dragons bring lessons to life!
